JTC Sites visits

On 26th September, 10th, 13th, 18th, and 24th October 2014, students attended the course CV4711 had opportunity to join site visits to some of JTC’s groundbreaking projects like Jurong Island, CleanTech Park, and Jurong Rock Cavern- Singapore’s first commercial underground storage facility for liquid hydrocarbons located under the seabed. During the visits, the students also has chance to network with JTC’s engineers to find out more about the projects and working culture in JTC.

JTC Sharing and Networking session for course CV4711

On 19th September 2014, the NTU-JTC Industrial Infrastructure Innovation (I3) Centre organised a sharing session on Inspiring Groundbreaking Solutions for students attended the course CV4711. During this sharing and networking session, JTC’s senior engineers shared with the students some technical information and lessons learned during the construction of the Jurong Rock Cavern and other underground infrastructures in Singapore. The students also had the opportunity to listen to JTC’s Human Resource officers sharing on working environment and career development in JTC.

Site Visit to JTC’s Ground-Breaking Projects on 13th Mar 2014

Join us on a site visit to some of JTC’s groundbreaking projects like Jurong Island, Jurong Rock Caverns and CleanTech Park on 13th March 2014 (Thursday), from 1pm to 6pm! Get the opportunity to network with our officers to find out more about the projects and working culture in JTC!

During this informal session, JTC had the opportunity to meet the students and to present an overview of its business and the possible career opportunities in JTC.

JTC Industrial Sharing Session

Come and join us in this exclusive industrial sharing session for NTU students by Mr Koh Chwee, Director for Engineering Planning Division, JTC Corporation.

He will share how JTC helps to support industrial developments in Singapore through providing integrated and innovative industrial infrastructure such as Jurong Rock Cavern, one-north, Seletar Aerospace Park, CleanTech Park, etc. Mr Koh Chwee will also give an insight into some of JTC’s unique strategies for resource and land optimisation.

NTU-JTC Final Year Projects AY 2012/13

NTU-JTC I3C launched its first batch of 9 JTC sponsored Final Year Projects in AY 2012/13 to encourage and assist students to do more in-depth research. Projects sponsored by JTC were provided with up to $2000 to use for their projects.

This sponsorship will continue in AY 2013/14.

JTC Engineering Book Prize

The NTU-JTC Industrial Infrastructure Innovation Centre is pleased to announce the JTC Engineering Book Prize. Donated in February 2012, the proceeds from the distributable income of an endowed gift of $50,000 from JTC shall fund a Book Prize (Cash Award) of up to $2,000 annually.

The JTC Engineering Book Prize will be awarded to an outstanding final year student undertaking the Bachelor of Civil & Environmental Engineering degree programme at NTU in recognition of their excellent academic results in civil engineering studies.

The first award was awarded during the the 2012 Nanyang Technological University Convocation Ceremony.
